In April 1970, Joseph Beuys installed his »Block Beuys« in the Hessisches Landesmuseum Darmstadt – the artist’s largest work complex, comprising 290 objects from the years 1949 to 1972. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary, the exhibition »Kraftwerk Block Beuys«, curated by Gabriele Mackert, is dedicated to Beuys’ objects and actions.
