Anselm Kiefer – Le Alchimiste

Bastian Gallery is delighted to announce »Le Alchimiste« (The Female Alchemists), a major new exhibition by Anselm Kiefer, curated by Gabriella Belli at Milan’s Palazzo Reale, opening on 7 February. The exhibition brings together more than forty works created by the artist for the historic space of the palace museum. Visitors will encounter a remarkable female pantheon reviving the legacy of historical women alchemists such as Caterina Sforza, Isabella Cortese, and Maria the Jewess, highlighting their often marginalized role in the development of modern scientific thought and invention.
