Heiner Bastian has published several collections of poetry. His first volume »Beobachtungen im Luftmeer« was published in 1968 following his reading at the Group 47. Since then, he has written and edited books on Joseph Beuys, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst and Anselm Kiefer. Bastian has curated exhibitions of their work at the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin, the Tate Mordern London, museums in Los Angeles, Montreal, San Francisco, Forth Worth and Texas as well european institutions. The poems constitute his fifth volume.The previous volume »Das Gedächtnis des Vergessens« was published two years ago. Heiner Bastian lives in Berlin and intermittently on the island Antiporos. Book design by the author, featuring a drawing by Cy Twombly on the dust jacket.
