Bastian is delighted to announce the opening of two new museum exhibitions dedicated to Renoir, both taking place at the Musée d’Orsay. »Renoir and Love – A Joyful Modernity« reexamines Renoir’s groundbreaking contributions to Impressionism and 19th-century art through the universal theme of love – the driving force behind his work. For the first time since 1985 the year the last Renoir retrospective was held in Paris, at the Grand Palais, some of the artist’s masterpieces will be brought together in France. At the same time, »Renoir Drawings« sheds light on the artist’s works on paper, highlighting the close connections between drawing and painting.
