It has been directed by Aeneas Bastian since 2016.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BASTIAN has an international reputation for presenting remarkable modern, post-war and contemporary works of art in solo exhibitions and curated group shows. Modern artists such as Max Liebermann, Emil Nolde and Pablo Picasso, as well as groundbreaking post-war artists including Joseph Beuys, Cy Twombly, Robert Rauschenberg and Andy Warhol, form the core of the exhibition program.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BASTIAN represents a number of outstanding contemporary artists including Paris based German artist Anselm Kiefer, film director and photographer Wim Wenders,Chinese painter Cui Ruzhuo as well as British artist Emma Stibbon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The gallery has published numerous exhibition catalogues, artist monographs and catalogues raisonn\u00e9s. You will find a selection of these publications in our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bastian-gallery.com\/en\/publications\/\">shop<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BASTIAN regularly participates in a number of selected international art fairs, notably Art Basel Hong Kong, Frieze Masters London, and Art Cologne.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In recent years the gallery has presented several acclaimed exhibitions both in London (devoted to modern art) and in Paris (dedicated to women artists of our time).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: left;\">In November 2021, the gallery moved to its present location, a gallery building designed by John Pawson, surrounded by a public garden in Dahlem.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ABOUT THE GALLERY Founded by C\u00e9line and Heiner Bastian in 1989, the gallery is located in Berlin.
